Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team at WorkCare, Inc. in Irvine, CA.
Job Summary:The Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner will provide occupational and environmental health services to employees at our client site in Irvine, CA. The successful candidate will work closely with the Consulting Medical Director (CMD) and WorkCare Supervisor to maintain frequent communication and ensure seamless clinic operations.
Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and Private Health Information following all applicable HIPAA laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Support Medical Surveillance exams, including audiograms, vision tests, pulmonary function, respirator fit testing, and DOT testing requirements, as needed.
- Provide first aid, medical treatment, and follow-ups for work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Perform effective case management follow-up for injuries/illness and absences.
- Conduct employee health screenings and surveillance programs, including new hire, fit-for-duty, return-to-work, medical surveillance, exit exams, and substance abuse screenings.
- Provide return-to-work clearance exams, as appropriate.
- Manage and maintain relationships with management, medical, and safety personnel, co-workers, and WorkCare supervisors.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting as dictated by ABBVIE, WorkCare, and by law.
- Develop and maintain programs for AED, medical surveillance, hearing conservation, health and wellness, ergonomics, and other implemented programs.
- Current Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner License required.
- Certified by NCCPA.
- Current DEA license and ACLS/BLS certification.
- Must have a bachelor's degree with at least two years of PA or NP experience preferred.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
- Strong critical thinking skills, problem-solving, and decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Take initiative on issues that arise daily.
- Ability to maintain a professional approach with others in job-demanding, multitasking, and/or project support situations.
- Competent in the Windows operating system environment, Adobe Professional, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and learn other software as needed.
- Requires sitting for long periods of time, working at a desk.
- Some bending and stretching could be required.
- Working under stress and use of computer/phone required.
- Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard.
- Occasionally may be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch.
- May occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
This is a part-time position, and the hourly pay rate is $85.00 per hour. Final compensation offered within this range depends on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.
