Job Title: Principal Process Control Systems Engineer

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Process Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Matrix PDM Engineering. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a leadership role and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of process control systems for various projects.

About the Role:
This position involves leading project teams in estimating, designing, and analyzing complex process control systems. As a Principal Process Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for applying broad knowledge of I&C principles and practices to design and conduct experiments and analysis. Your expertise will be essential in formulating and solving problems, coordinating tasks with engineers, designers, and administrative staff, and planning and coordinating engineering work. You will also prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules, assist with proposals and funding requests, and interact with project managers, clients, customers, and officials.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead project teams in estimating, designing, and analyzing complex process control systems
• Apply broad knowledge of I&C principles and practices to design and conduct experiments and analysis
• Formulate and solve problems, coordinate tasks with engineers, designers, and administrative staff
• Plan and coordinate engineering work, prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules
• Assist with proposals and funding requests, interact with project managers, clients, customers, and officials

Discipline Lead:
Serves as discipline lead on projects, managing the discipline work to achieve schedule, budget, scope, and quality objectives.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a BS in Engineering (MS degree preferred) and have 6+ years of related engineering experience. A Professional Engineer (PE) certification and Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification are desirable. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of PFD's and P&ID's, proficiency in ISA standards, and demonstrated success in detailed design of industrial process facility I&C system architectures, control systems, control panels, networks, software, and field wiring. Significant experience commissioning process control systems and demonstrable success in estimating, specifying, and procuring process instrumentation are also preferred.
