Medical Financial Coordinator

The estimated annual salary for this position is $40,736 to $51,072, based on a 40-hour workweek and assuming the maximum hourly rate of $24.60. The actual salary may vary depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, and location.
This role requires a minimum of an associate's degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience, as well as excellent computer skills and a strong understanding of business and accounting concepts.
Some of the key responsibilities of this position include:
- Answering incoming phone calls from patients and addressing their billing and insurance inquiries
- Establishing payment arrangements and updating demographic information
- Updating insurance records and filing claims as necessary
- Itemizing patient accounts upon request and documenting conversations and events at the account level
The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of collections procedures and FDCPA laws, as well as the ability to review account credit balances for errors and overpayments, and issue refunds as necessary.
