El Licenciado en Práctica de Enfermería (LPN) coordina la atención al paciente siguiendo todos los estándares establecidos de práctica dentro de las pautas estatales y federales.

Proporciona mentoría al personal no enfermero y actúa como recurso para el personal y la dirección en la identificación y resolución de problemas.
Responsabilidades


- Verifica horarios y organiza el flujo de pacientes; recibe a los pacientes, documenta sus inquietudes y preguntas, y los acompaña a la sala de examen/procedimiento, preparándolos para el examen físico.

- Realiza la entrevista inicial al paciente; revisa el perfil médico del paciente, H&P y documenta en Ecw /charting manual según sea apropiado.
- Obtiene y documenta con precisión los signos vitales del paciente, peso y reporta cualquier anomalía al médico. Asiste con la recolección de muestras y pruebas según sea necesario. Documenta información pertinente.
- Asiste a los pacientes según sea necesario, es decir, al caminar, transferir, vestir, etc.
- Proporciona tratamiento menor según lo indicado por el médico y asiste a los médicos con procedimientos menores.
- Ofrece educación según lo indicado después de evaluar las necesidades de aprendizaje del paciente y/o la familia.
- Documenta todas las actividades relacionadas con el paciente al final del turno.
- Programa pruebas para pacientes y pre-certifica si es necesario según el seguro.
- Responde a todos los mensajes telefónicos (pacientes, oficinas de médicos, etc.) al final del turno.
- Al final del mes, verifica los suministros y medicamentos caducados.
- Mantiene el inventario de las salas de examen/procedimiento.
- Ordena suministros según sea necesario.
- Limpia la sala de examen/procedimiento y el equipo después de cada paciente.
- Prepara la sala de examen/procedimiento para el siguiente paciente y las necesidades del médico.
- Notifica a los pacientes sobre los resultados de las pruebas (según instrucciones del médico) y el seguimiento.
- Asiste a reuniones programadas, oportunidades de educación y participa en programas de educación continua. Mantiene relaciones de trabajo efectivas con empleados y otros gerentes del equipo de atención médica.

Respeta y protege los derechos del paciente a la confidencialidad y privacidad, divulgando información solo para fines profesionales que estén en el mejor interés del paciente, considerando plenamente sus derechos legales.

Muestra una actitud positiva al interactuar con el personal de la oficina del médico, médicos y compañeros de trabajo.
- Participa y apoya actividades de mejora del rendimiento y gestión de riesgos.
- Realiza otras tareas relacionadas según se asignen o soliciten para mantener un alto nivel de servicio. Completa la capacitación continua y la educación requeridas, incluidos los requisitos específicos de la práctica. Demuestra un comportamiento profesional siguiendo los estándares de servicio. Cumple con las políticas y procedimientos organizacionales del departamento y se adhiere a los requisitos de agencias externas.
Calificaciones

- Graduado de una escuela de enfermería acreditada.
- Licencia válida como Licenciado en Práctica de Enfermería en CT.
