Job Summary:
MDS (Micro-Data Systems) is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large enterprise network communication platforms, including core, WAN, and LAN networking services, VoIP and WiFi infrastructure, ISP management, network vendor management, fiber layouts, and IT operational support within the network communications arena.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement network infrastructure solutions to meet business needs
- Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Implement and manage VoIP and WiFi infrastructure
- Manage ISP connections and ensure network uptime
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve network-related issues
- Develop and maintain network documentation and standards
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of experience in network communications engineering with a focus on large enterprise systems
- Strong experience with network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- Experience with network management tools and technologies
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant industry certifications, such as CCNA or CCNP
- Experience with cloud-based network services and technologies
- Knowledge of network security best practices and threat mitigation strategies
