Job Title: Graduate Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Graduate Nurse to join our team at SSM Health. As a Graduate Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Graduate Nurse will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. This includes assessing and coordinating patient care plans, implementing and monitoring patient care, and serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
  • Assesses and coordinates patient care plans, implementing and monitoring patient care as needed.
  • Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
  • Applies the existing body of evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in healthcare to nursing practice, ensuring that nursing care is delivered based on patient's age-specific needs and clinical needs.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
  • No experience required.
  • Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use/data entry.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
