We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients, taking into account their age, acuity, and clinical condition.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies, and prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions and therapies as needed.
- Provide health promotion, disease prevention, and disease management counseling and education to patients and families.
- Manage patients as part of an interdisciplinary team and seek consultation or referrals as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Participate in quality, safety, and peer review initiatives, and contribute to organizational and departmental meetings and committees.
- Active RN and APRN/APRN-FPA/APNP license(s) in state(s) of practice.
- Active national board certification in area of clinical practice and populations served.
- Active DEA registration prior to hire.
- Master's Degree in Nursing.
- No experience required.
- Demonstrated high level of clinical proficiency and excellent decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as an effective member of a healthcare team.
- Adaptability to evolving technology and proficiency with the electronic medical record.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
