Position: Educator - Preschool/Early Childhood Development (part-time)

Compensation: $20.00/hour

Foothills Park & Recreation District is seeking dedicated Part-Time Full Day and Half Day Educators to support the management and execution of preschool programs, ensuring a secure and enriching environment for young learners. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership abilities, serve as a positive influence for children, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with children, parents, and supervisors.

Full Day Position: This part-time role involves working in our Full Day program, which operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM year-round. Candidates should be prepared for occasional evening and weekend events, as well as annual comprehensive training sessions.

Half Day Position: This part-time role aligns with the local school calendar, running from August to May. Applicants must be available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Similar to the Full Day position, this role may also require participation in evening and weekend events and annual training. Additional hours may be available during summer and holiday breaks.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
  • Must fulfill the necessary qualifications for Group Leader/Early Childhood Educators and provide all required documentation as mandated by the State of Colorado's Department of Human Services upon hiring.
  • Willingness to obtain certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Universal Precautions.
  • Completion of 15 hours of training annually.
  • Successful criminal background check, including Colorado Bureau of Investigations and TRAILS/Central Registry review, as required by the Colorado Department of Social Services within 5 working days of employment.
  • Provision of all necessary documentation as required by the State of Colorado Child Care Licensing Division upon hiring.
