Job Summary

Indianapolis Fruit Company is seeking a highly skilled Transportation Logistics Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our distribution network, you will be responsible for executing accurate and complete customer order fulfillment, quality product delivery, and departure expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement efficient delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate product delivery to our valued retail partners.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Transportation teams to manage order change requests, delivery time change requests, and delivery fulfillment.
  • Utilize our company's ERP system to review customer orders and delivery route scheduling for improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze and condense routes for more efficient deliveries.
  • Monitor inventory levels and procure products from sister companies when needed.
Requirements
  • A minimum of an associate degree or a bachelor's degree in a related field, such as logistics or supply chain management.
  • Previous experience in refrigerated food manufacturing or distributor operation is preferred.
  • Proficient skills in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and common email systems.
  • Strong relationship and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Innovative and creative thinking, with a focus on continuous improvement and change management.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
