Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Domestic Transportation Manager to join our team at Finish Line. This role is responsible for managing logistics, transportation, and supply chain activities for outbound transportation, including small package delivery and distribution.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in transportation management, with experience in vendor onboarding and direct carrier management. They will be responsible for fostering carrier relationships, maintaining a benchmarking network, and providing analysis and reports of industry trends, risks, and anticipated impact.

The Domestic Transportation Manager will also be responsible for managing the transportation budget and revised forecasts, as well as partnering with transportation, supply chain operations, real estate, and procurement teams to improve and automate processes and procedures.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high degree of customer service, with a focus on making customer-focused, cost-effective decisions. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of transportation, as well as a learning attitude and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage logistics, transportation, and supply chain activities for outbound transportation
  • Foster carrier relationships and maintain a benchmarking network
  • Provide analysis and reports of industry trends, risks, and anticipated impact
  • Manage the transportation budget and revised forecasts
  • Partner with transportation, supply chain operations, real estate, and procurement teams to improve and automate processes and procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • At least 7 years of experience in transportation management, with vendor onboarding and direct carrier management experience
  • Advanced knowledge and abilities with Google Suite, Access, Excel, and the ability to learn WMS, TMS, Power BI, or other applications

Average work week is 40-50 hours, which can vary depending on business need. The work environment for this position is a moderately noisy office setting with very limited exposure to a moderate to loud warehouse setting.
