Job Summary

Florida International University seeks a highly skilled ServiceNow System Administrator to manage the ServiceNow platform, including administration, development, operation, education, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will serve as a developer and technical subject matter expert for the ServiceNow system, partnering with stakeholders to develop workflows, perform needs assessments, and assist in solution development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the health, administration, usage, and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications.
  • Configure and enhance core applications, including Service Catalog, Service Portal, Knowledge Base, Management, Project & Portfolio, and Reporting.
  • Support implemented and proposed solutions on the ServiceNow platform, loading, manipulating, and maintaining data, and API integration between ServiceNow and other systems.
  • Develop ServiceNow software solutions using JavaScript, Web Services, MYSQL, XML, HTML, and CSS, performing code reviews to ensure quality standards.
  • Deploy features and ServiceNow releases, making recommendations and participating in implementing ServiceNow requirements and providing architectural controls and impact analysis for new requirements.
  • Provide timely and courteous support to users, managing ServiceNow software releases through configuration tasks and feature delivery, and optimizing stability and usability of ServiceNow through regular application maintenance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Studies, or other technical discipline, and three (3) years related experience; OR seven (7) years of related experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
  • Experience working with a wide range of web-based technologies, using software best practices to develop ServiceNow solutions and workflows, and working with ServiceNow incident, change, problem, request, CMDB, and knowledge management applications.
