About Us: United Pacific, a leading independent gasoline and convenience store retailer, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our team.
">Job Summary: As an HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in a designated division. You will serve as a consultant to management on human resources-related issues, act as an employee champion and change agent, and maintain effective partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees.

- Employee Relations: Manage employee relations cases by providing employee and manager coaching and counseling while ensuring consistent application and interpretation of company policies, practices and procedures.">
- Investigations: Lead harassment, discrimination, hostile work environment and DFEH/EEOC investigations.">
- Reviews and Disciplinary Actions: Review terminations and disciplinary actions, investigations, employee relations decisions of store/restaurant management for consistency, risk and completeness.">
- Coaching and Advising: Coach and advise the leadership team on performance management issues such as hiring, associate performance, career and personal development, resolving associate concerns and terminations.">
- Partnerships: Partner with store/restaurant management to evaluate internal candidates and identify high potential associates.">
- Field Visits and Interviews: Conduct field visits, interviews, and exit interviews to understand opportunities for improved retention.">
- Training and Development: Conduct/facilitate local training and development sessions as needed.">
- Program Design and Delivery: Participate in the design and delivery of HR programs to ensure programs are aligned with business needs.">
- Safety Training: Identify organizational safety training needs & develop safety training programs.">
- Worker's Compensation: Ensure injured employees are directed to the correct Worker's Compensation clinic or treating physician when appropriate.">
Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field.">
- Experience: (4) years human resources related experience.">
- Business Judgment: Strong business judgment and strategic orientation, particularly in linking HR with business strategies and goals.">
- Industry Experience: Experience supporting multi-unit retail and/or restaurant industries.">
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication (written and verbal) and facilitation skills.">
- Interpersonal Skills: Must have the ability to work with all levels of employees.">
- Technical Skills: Experience with Microsoft products including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.">
- Decision-Making: Demonstrated ability to independently solve problems and make decisions.">
- Citizenship: Able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the US if hired.">
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
