Job Overview

As a highly skilled IT System Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting, maintaining, and implementing critical production systems and interfacing software and hardware to ensure seamless business operations and collaboration with our Japan-based headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement improvement and maintenance procedures on AS400, MC Frames, and global information systems software and equipment.
  • Independently prepare for internal and external audits and compliance regulations, which may be highly sensitive and confidential in nature.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans based on third-party or business requirements.
Requirements:
  • Proficient with Windows OS, AS400, and network architecture.
  • Knowledge of system architecture and fundamentals of coding required for key infrastructure maintenance.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Fluent in Japanese language.
  • Familiar with a range of software and hardware.
  • Training in MC Frames, AS400-related systems, including Japan IT required training.
Education and Experience:
  • Background education: Associates or Bachelors, Technical degree or beyond in computer sciences or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5+ years experience in computer systems maintenance or equivalent skill and 2-year related experience including Microsoft networking, TCP/IP, PC support, Active directory, Cisco switching, and AS400.
