Job Summary

The Controls Specialist is a critical role within our team, responsible for the installation, commissioning, and testing of control systems used in our data centers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, test, and commission control systems, including HVAC, electrical, and lighting systems, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Monitor control systems to ensure they are operating efficiently, adjusting system parameters and programming as needed to optimize performance and energy efficiency.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and system configurations, generating reports on system performance, energy usage, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and facility staff to coordinate activities and ensure seamless operation, providing technical support and guidance to team members as needed.
  • Ensure all control systems comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or technical certification in electrical, mechanical, or control systems engineering or a related field, or direct experience in lieu of degree.
  • 5-10 years of experience working with control systems in a data center or similar environment.
  • Proficiency in control systems programming and configuration, strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, and building automation systems, and ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with various control system platforms, including BMS (Building Management Systems) or SCADA, and experience conducting I/O checkouts.
