Company Overview

Century Group is collaborating with a reputable organization in search of a Senior Cost Accountant to enhance their financial team.

Position Overview

The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the month-end closing procedures and ensuring the accuracy of account reconciliations. Key responsibilities include:

1. **Inventory Management**: Maintain, report, and reconcile records related to inventory and cost of sales.
2. **Financial Analysis**: Analyze and review both the inventory sub-ledgers and the general ledger to ensure precision.
3. **Overhead Assessment**: Review and calculate manufacturing overhead to support inventory valuation.
4. **Journal Entries**: Execute month-end journal entries pertaining to inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), fixed assets, and general accounting.
5. **Flux Analysis**: Prepare flux analysis for inventory, accrued liabilities, cost of sales, and other assigned general ledger accounts.
6. **Reporting**: Develop various cost accounting reports for presentation to senior management.

Qualifications

- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting within public or private sectors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with accounting software such as SAP and ERP systems is preferred.

Experience Requirements

- In-depth understanding of the manufacturing process from raw materials to finished products and the associated cost of sales.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Cost Accounting Standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
