Position Overview

Merge your enthusiasm for running or fitness with your marketing skills and your Christian values as we embark on an exciting journey with Upward Running. Upward Running is a new initiative by Upward Sports aimed at uniting a community of runners and walkers to accomplish their objectives collectively. This will be achieved through customized training plans, sport curriculum, ministry content, and a supportive network of individuals dedicated to mutual success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all marketing and communication initiatives for the Upward Running and Walking division.
  • Create engaging organic marketing content to enhance interest and brand visibility for Upward Running.
  • Design and oversee digital marketing campaigns to attract new members to our Upward RunClub.
  • Develop and implement strategies to encourage churches to adopt our church-based programming for Upward Running.
  • Engage with churches or runners/walkers at events where we have a marketing presence.
  • Assist in shaping the new identity of Upward Running and Walking while transitioning from Run For God.
  • Serve as the primary voice of Upward Running and Walking to our existing customers through effective and timely communications.
  • Maintain an active presence on the in-app social channels for Upward Running and Walking, addressing inquiries or resolving issues as they arise.
  • Identify, evaluate, and collaborate with influencers to promote Upward Sports.
  • Lead or support additional projects for the broader Upward Sports marketing team as directed by the Marketing and Partnerships Manager.
  • Develop and maintain reports to assess the effectiveness of our marketing initiatives for informed decision-making.

Qualifications and Preferred Skills:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing or a related discipline.
  2. Proven experience in managing digital marketing campaigns.
  3. Experience in creating social media content.
  4. Familiarity with current running and fitness cultures, capable of producing relevant content in these areas.
  5. Comfortable appearing on camera for media such as webinars, podcasts, or other video marketing content.
  6. Creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
  7. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  8. Strong organizational and prioritization capabilities.
  9. Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor consistently.
  10. Meticulous attention to detail and quality.
  11. Ability to juggle competing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
