  • Identify and pursue emerging business opportunities, including securing contracts and establishing partnerships.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with essential stakeholders, including government entities and industry partners.
  • Stay informed on industry dynamics, regulatory changes, and competitive movements to guide business strategies.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects and contracts.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to potential clients, showcasing our capabilities.
  • Coordinate with staff to ensure effective proposal preparation and submission for federal and non-federal contracts.
  • Assist in developing narratives for past performance to enhance proposal effectiveness.
  • Maintain current knowledge of federal contracting laws and regulations relevant to business development.
  • Help develop the annual marketing budget for business development activities.
  • Oversee the customer experience from initial engagement through project execution.
  • Identify and monitor customer funding opportunities throughout the procurement process.
  • Develop and implement detailed account plans to meet sales objectives, including forecasting and market analysis.
  • Evaluate market trends to inform pricing strategies and sales plans.
  • Participate in industry events and trade shows to promote Mile Two's offerings.
  • Prepare and present reports on business development activities and track opportunities effectively.
  • Represent Mile Two with professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field with a minimum of 16 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 14 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated success in winning and managing government contracts.
  • In-depth understanding of the DOD acquisition process and associated regulations.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a focus on team motivation.
  • Active security clearance is required.
  • Strong project management capabilities with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Excellent problem-solving and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with teaming partners and subcontractors.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong business acumen and industry knowledge.
  • Ability to establish new relationships and partnerships.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel, averaging 25-35% of the time.
