Key Responsibilities:

- Foster and maintain relationships with essential stakeholders, including government entities and industry partners.
- Stay informed on industry dynamics, regulatory changes, and competitive movements to guide business strategies.
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects and contracts.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to potential clients, showcasing our capabilities.
- Coordinate with staff to ensure effective proposal preparation and submission for federal and non-federal contracts.
- Assist in developing narratives for past performance to enhance proposal effectiveness.
- Maintain current knowledge of federal contracting laws and regulations relevant to business development.
- Help develop the annual marketing budget for business development activities.
- Oversee the customer experience from initial engagement through project execution.
- Identify and monitor customer funding opportunities throughout the procurement process.
- Develop and implement detailed account plans to meet sales objectives, including forecasting and market analysis.
- Evaluate market trends to inform pricing strategies and sales plans.
- Participate in industry events and trade shows to promote Mile Two's offerings.
- Prepare and present reports on business development activities and track opportunities effectively.
- Represent Mile Two with professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field with a minimum of 16 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 14 years of experience.
- Demonstrated success in winning and managing government contracts.
- In-depth understanding of the DOD acquisition process and associated regulations.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven leadership abilities with a focus on team motivation.
- Active security clearance is required.
- Strong project management capabilities with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Must pass a background check.
- Excellent problem-solving and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to engage and collaborate with teaming partners and subcontractors.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Highly motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong business acumen and industry knowledge.
- Ability to establish new relationships and partnerships.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel, averaging 25-35% of the time.
