Job Overview

The Clinical Liaison for Medical Science will play a pivotal role in fostering relationships with key opinion leaders in strategic therapeutic areas. This position is integral to enhancing the understanding and advocacy of Sirtex's innovative products within the medical community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture relationships with current and prospective experts in both academic and clinical settings at regional and national levels, focusing on the scientific foundation of Sirtex offerings.
  • Act as a scientific collaborator with the commercial team, ensuring alignment and communication of insights from external experts.
  • Regularly engage with internal commercial leadership to relay feedback and address concerns raised by thought leaders.
  • Represent Sirtex at various medical events, including conferences, advisory boards, and outreach initiatives, while interacting with thought leaders and strategic partners.
  • Identify and engage key opinion leaders for opportunities in medical education and clinical research.
  • Report directly to the Head of Medical Affairs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create and implement strategic plans that provide tailored, value-added services to enhance advocacy.

Additionally, the Clinical Liaison will:

  • Identify potential research initiatives, including Investigator Initiated Trials (IITs), ensuring alignment with Sirtex's strategic objectives.
  • Facilitate the initiation of research projects through expert relationships, ensuring that hypotheses are clearly defined and relevant.
  • Oversee the execution of processes related to the review, approval, management, and support of studies, maintaining investigator independence in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide field-based medical support for global clinical research initiatives.
  • Deliver high-quality medical education presentations across diverse settings, gathering valuable feedback for organizational dissemination.
  • Collect and share competitive intelligence from various sources in accordance with company policies.
  • Complete all required administrative reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
