Role Overview:

We are thrilled to announce an opening for an Infrastructure Systems Engineer to bolster the IT Department at Rugs USA. In this newly established position, you will be tasked with overseeing and managing the technology framework of our e-commerce organization. This role encompasses strategic planning, project oversight, implementation, and maintenance of all IT systems and networks to ensure alignment with organizational goals and effective operational support. You will report directly to the Director of IT Infrastructure & Security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement strategic plans for the organization's IT framework in accordance with business objectives. Identify technological trends and advancements to propose upgrades or new systems that improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and upkeep of all hardware, software, and network components. Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of the organization's IT infrastructure. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and enhance performance.
  • Collaborate with the Cyber Security Manager to implement and enforce security protocols and procedures to safeguard the organization's IT infrastructure from cyber threats and unauthorized access. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Assess and select hardware, software, and service vendors based on quality, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with organizational needs.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure swift recovery from IT outages or data breaches. Conduct regular tests and drills to validate the effectiveness of these plans.
  • Establish and enforce all policies as directed by business leaders.
  • Provide advanced technical support and assist junior team members in resolving technical challenges as necessary.
  • Plan and manage projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in information technology or a related field is required, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA, CCNA, and MCSE are advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in IT infrastructure management, with a proven record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong technical proficiency in networking, system administration, virtualization, and cloud computing, including:
    • Windows Server
    • Active Directory
    • Azure Active Directory
    • M365
    • Intune
    • Apple Business Manager
    • Networking and firewalls - ideally Cisco, Meraki, and Fortinet
    • SIEM
    • VMware
    • AWS EC2, RDS
    • ITSM Knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, standards, and regulations related to IT infrastructure.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technology trends and business requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams towards common objectives.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000-$110,000+ benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed reflects the likely salary opportunity for a new hire in this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
