WARSIM System Support Analyst

As a WARSIM System Support Analyst, you will contribute to ensuring the safety of today and the intelligence of tomorrow. Your expertise will be essential in building and enabling the readiness of our Nation's Army in the Pacific.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a WARSIM System Support Analyst, you will:

  • Perform system management and administration functions within a distributed computing environment, focusing on military simulation systems such as JLCCTC-MRF/WARSIM, JLCCTC ERF/JCATS, and Low Overhead Drivers (LOD).
  • Integrate these systems with Mission Command Systems (MCS) and administrative platforms to support tailored digital MCS training requirements for military units.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on designated constructive systems utilized for training at JMSC-IP.
  • Provide installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support for information systems applications and related hardware.
  • Manage and track hardware and software resources of site constructive systems as directed by the simulations supervisor to meet technical requirements for training events.
  • Oversee the functionality and efficiency of multiple computers operating on various systems, ensuring the integrity and security of servers and systems.
  • Establish and manage administrator and service accounts for JLCCTC MRF/WARSIM and LOD.
  • Serve as a manager for both personnel and tasks, participating in special projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Education: Technical training or a combination of education, technical certifications, and training.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience; advanced knowledge of information technology and business issues; familiarity with Army Program of Record simulation systems and Low Overhead Drivers.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Essential skills include:

  • Advanced understanding of Army War Fighting Functions: Mission Command, Movement and Maneuver, Intelligence, Fires, Sustainment, Protection.
  • In-depth knowledge of JLCCTC-MRF/WARSIM technical and functional operations, as well as Low-Overhead-Driver (LOD).
  • CompTIA Security+ certification is required.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

A Secret clearance is mandatory for this position.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Key attributes include:

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to advise and educate leadership in non-technical terms regarding WARSIM.
  • Advanced knowledge of troubleshooting principles, methods, and techniques in information systems support.
  • Strong familiarity with related hardware and software.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Experience with SCENGEN is desirable.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position requires moderate travel to various customer sites.
