Senior Insurance Financial Analyst – System Reports Evaluation

As a pivotal member of the Insurance Accounting division, you will play an essential role in the evaluation of financial reports and systems for Guidewire updates, market transitions, and the introduction of new markets.

Your expertise in the policy, billing, and claims functionalities of Guidewire, along with your capacity to conduct user acceptance testing and effectively communicate findings, is vital for success in this position.


Key Responsibilities:


Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of financial reports to facilitate system updates, market transitions, new market introductions, and/or the resolution of reporting issues. This includes aiding in the development of test cases, establishing testing timelines, and coordinating efforts with various business units.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of Guidewire's insurance policy, billing, and claims systems, as well as other systems such as HUON and Policy Star.

Comprehend the logic and requirements of financial reports utilized by the Insurance Accounting team for accurate reporting.

Participate in regular UAT status meetings to review testing progress, address issues, and provide updates.
Maintain thorough testing documentation to substantiate test results, findings, and any necessary follow-up testing.
Assist with requests from internal and external auditors related to testing activities.
Engage in collaborative meetings to discuss report enhancements or new reporting needs as required.
Support the Insurance Accounting team with reporting discrepancies or delays, particularly during month-end closing periods, which may involve conducting research or collaborating with IS/Data teams.
Identify opportunities for process enhancements and assist in their implementation.
Support ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably with a concentration in Accounting or Finance, or a related technical field.
Demonstrated progressive experience in systems/applications and/or accounting.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting systems testing is required.
Experience in insurance accounting or a related field is advantageous.
Familiarity with Guidewire or Tableau is a plus.
Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy in work.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify issues effectively.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively across departments.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, demonstrating flexibility to adapt to overlapping and changing deadlines.

The starting salary range for this role is: $88,000 - $117,000. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in our incentive program based on the achievement of organizational, team, and individual performance.
