The Educational Program Facilitator plays a crucial role in overseeing staff, crafting and executing educational lesson plans, and ensuring the well-being and safety of clients. This position entails primary oversight of activities within the facility.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of one year of college coursework (30 units) in social work, counseling, therapeutic recreation, adapted physical/special education, or a related human services field. Candidates should have at least two years of experience in day or residential programs serving individuals with disabilities. An Associate's degree in human services may substitute for one year of experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement educational and lesson plans effectively.
  • Guide curriculum development in areas such as arts, music, drama, and other activities.
  • Assist in management duties during the absence of the Program Manager or Assistant Manager.
  • Create and maintain program calendars and schedules.
  • Oversee documentation and data collection in client records.
  • Support the implementation and assessment of service plans.
  • Evaluate and report on client engagement.
  • Contribute to Individual Service Plans (ISP).
  • Assist with communication and reporting related to funding and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with Community Care Licensing regulations (Title 17 & 22).
Client and Staff Engagement:
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Provide supervision, training, and performance evaluations for staff.
  • Oversee or manage the distribution of medications.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of clients and employees.
  • Facilitate client transportation before, during, and after programs.
  • Assist with the maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
  • Participate in client meetings as necessary.
  • Attend mandatory agency meetings and training sessions as requested by the Program Manager.
  • Offer support in the absence of staff members.
  • Provide assistance in the absence of the Program Manager and/or Assistant Manager.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
