Position Overview

We are in search of skilled Service Technicians with diverse experience levels to be integral members of a dedicated team responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our clients' distribution centers across the nation. This role is ideal for quality-focused individuals equipped to tackle a range of technical challenges within an industrial automation environment.

The ideal candidate will possess experience with conveyor systems; however, those with maintenance and repair backgrounds in other types of industrial mechanical equipment will also be strongly considered. The Service Technician must demonstrate proficiency in interpreting schematics and wiring diagrams, as well as the capability to learn and utilize specialized tools and meters. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with customers, service leads, and management.

Opportunities for advancement are available for candidates with extensive mechanical and electrical expertise, along with foundational knowledge of PLC and GDU systems. Leadership and supervisory experience will be highly regarded for these advanced roles.

Above all, candidates must exhibit a strong commitment to adhering to safety protocols mandated by OSHA and the company's safety policies.
Compensation and responsibilities will be commensurate with prior experience and demonstrated skill levels as outlined in this job posting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and programming issues related to distribution equipment, including conveyors and associated components.

• Follow daily directives from Service Managers or Crew Leads to effectively maintain and repair equipment failures.

• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welders, and specialized equipment safely and effectively.

• Adhere to safety protocols while working around high and low voltage circuits.

• Employ electrical testing instruments, such as volt meters and programming terminals, to assess panel components.

• Utilize mobile devices to communicate and document service activities.

• Maintain and organize company tools and materials.

• Ensure a clean and organized work environment.

• Comply with the Company Code of Conduct and Safety Policies at all times.

• Welding skills using Arc or Mig processes are a significant advantage.

• Inspect and operate company service vehicles.

Job Qualifications:

• Full-time position requiring a 40+ hour work week.

• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as necessary.

• Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential.

• Ability to travel for extended periods as required.

• Flexibility to work early morning shifts when necessary.

• Valid driver's license is required.

• Availability to respond to after-hours service calls when assigned.

• Capability to travel locally as needed for job duties.

• Must be able to perform tasks while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Strong teamwork skills as well as the ability to work independently.

• Proficiency in using power tools, including grinders, saws, drills, and more.

• Familiarity with conveyor belt lacer and cutting tools is preferred.

• Certification or ability to become certified in operating forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other heavy machinery as required.

• Participation in all safety-related programs and training is mandatory.

• Proficiency in using mobile devices for communication and documentation.

• Personal toolset for repair tasks is required (list available).
