Job Overview

We are seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals to join our team as Military Police in the U.S. Army.

About the Role

As a Military Police, you will be responsible for protecting lives and property on Army installations by enforcing military laws and regulations. You will also control traffic, prevent crime, and respond to emergencies. Your duties will include conducting force protection, anti-terrorism, area security, and police intelligence operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete law enforcement patrols to maintain order and ensure public safety
  • Interview witnesses, victims, and suspects in investigations to gather information and evidence
  • Secure and process crime scenes to preserve evidence and facilitate investigations
  • Arrest and charge criminal suspects in accordance with military law and regulations
Requirements
  • Be between 17-40 years old
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Pass background and medical screening
  • Receive a passing score on the ASVAB
Training and Development

Job training for Military Police requires 19 weeks of One Station Unit Training and on-the-job instruction in police methods. Advanced Individual Training is 9 weeks at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, where you will learn skills such as basic warrior skills, use of firearms, military/civil laws, investigating and collecting evidence, traffic and crowd control, and arrest and restraint of suspects.
