Position Overview:
This role focuses on business development in support of INDOPACOM and is contingent upon project award.
The incumbent will design, implement, and deliver analytical tasks related to exercises, which include defining and shaping objectives, developing exercise frameworks, authoring scenarios, facilitating participant dialogues, and creating after-action reports and presentations. This position requires expertise in warfighting functions, multidomain operations, course of action analysis, strategy formulation, and organizational processes to create exercises that allow participants to evaluate assumptions in a low-risk setting. The role also involves facilitating and/or supporting Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) planning events and documentation.
Qualifications:
JOURNEYMAN LEVEL: A Journeyman classification necessitates 3 to 10 years of relevant experience and a BA/BS or MA/MS degree. Individuals in this category typically perform all functional responsibilities independently.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: TS/SCI required.
Physical Demands: The position necessitates extensive use of computing systems, including PCs or laptops. Responsibilities may involve prolonged periods of sitting or standing. The role requires typing and reading from a computer screen. Sufficient mobility is essential, including bending, reaching, turning, and kneeling to complete daily tasks efficiently. There may be a need for climbing and working in confined spaces. The ability to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended durations is necessary. The work environment may be noisy and subject to temperature variations. The role may require lifting and transporting equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, and walking moderate to long distances may be necessary due to parking constraints. Occasional travel to other locations may be required.
Work Environment: Primarily an office setting. The workspace may include cubicles (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). The ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and all management levels is crucial. The job does not involve unusual hazards or environmental conditions. Limited travel (up to 10% of the time) may be necessary.
Equipment Utilization: Proficiency in operating office equipment such as personal computers, printers, copiers, telephones, and other necessary tools is required.
Attendance Expectations: Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Regular attendance is critical for meeting deadlines and attending meetings. Punctuality and consistent attendance are essential. Flexibility in work hours may be necessary to accommodate urgent mission requirements.
Essential Functions: Professional conduct is expected at all times when interacting with clients, management, and colleagues. Clear, concise, and accurate communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential. Appropriate grooming and attire are required for the position, ensuring no safety risks to employees or others. Maintaining a positive work environment through professional behavior and communication is vital. Independent transportation to the office or work site is necessary. Travel to client locations and testing fields may be required to support projects, which may involve airline travel. In certain cases, accommodations for personal vehicles may be arranged if needed. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, wearing a seatbelt is mandatory, and the use of cellular devices while driving is prohibited. Successful completion of a drug test and background check is required. A professional demeanor that enhances productivity and fosters teamwork and cooperation is expected. The ability to interact effectively with individuals at all organizational levels is essential. Willingness to travel as needed is required.
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $89,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Individual compensation within this range is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
