Position Overview:

The Exercise & JOC Operations Planner role is a pivotal position supporting INDOPACOM, contingent upon project award.

As a professional in this capacity, you will provide essential services and mission support as an Exercise and JOC Operations Planner for the Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Center (JPMRC), under the United States Army, Pacific (USARPAC). Your expertise will enhance warfighting functions, offering planning and coordination support throughout the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) events, including maneuver, sustainment, CEMA, and information operations.

You will also support Exercise JOC operations during unit Live, Virtual, and Constructive exercises alongside Joint and allied partners.

Qualifications:

Experience Level: A Journeyman labor category requires 3 to 10 years of relevant experience, along with a BA/BS or MA/MS degree. Individuals in this category typically perform all functional duties independently.

Security Clearance: TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.

Physical Demands:

This position involves extensive use of computing systems, including PCs or laptops. You may be required to sit or stand for prolonged periods, engage in typing, and read from computer screens. Sufficient mobility is necessary for tasks such as bending, reaching, turning, and kneeling. You may also need to climb or work in confined spaces. The role may involve lifting and transporting equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, and moderate to long-distance walking may be necessary due to site locations.

Work Environment:

The typical work setting is an office environment, which may include cubicles with considerations for close quarters, moderate noise levels, and varying lighting conditions. Collaboration with colleagues, customers, and management at all levels is essential.

Equipment Utilization:

Proficiency in operating office equipment such as personal computers, printers, and telephones is required.

Attendance Expectations:

Regular working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Consistent attendance is crucial for meeting deadlines and participating in meetings. Flexibility in work hours may be necessary to accommodate mission-critical situations.

Professional Conduct:

Maintaining professionalism in interactions with customers, management, and colleagues is essential. Clear and effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required. Appropriate grooming and attire are expected to ensure safety and professionalism.

Independent transportation to the office or work site is necessary, and travel may be required to support projects.

The salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $89,000, reflecting the minimum and maximum target for new hires across various locations. Individual compensation will be determined based on work location, skills, experience, and education.
