Production Supervisor

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee the production activities of our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all internal and external customer demands are met for cylinder gases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage plant operations to ensure safe and environmentally responsible practices
  • Remain compliant with external regulatory agencies, including FDA, DOT, EPA, OSHA, and DHS, as well as Linde policies and procedures
  • Schedule production of cylinder gases to meet customer requirements
  • Maintain stocking levels of finished product and raw materials
  • Monitor and schedule raw material deliveries
  • Drive productivity to maximize plant capabilities and operational efficiency
  • Ensure the proper appearance, image, and security of the facility and equipment
  • Provide job training and support employees in career development and growth opportunities
  • Supervise personnel to foster a motivated, informed, and empowered work environment
  • Manage employee activities in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Conduct accident/incident investigations and complete required reports
  • Support inter-company and route truck distribution of products
  • Interact professionally with internal and external customers
  • Assist in implementing Standard Operating Procedures
  • Monitor asset usage and recommend cylinder purchases and/or increases to inventory
  • Conduct monthly safety meetings
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science preferred; high school diploma/GED required
  • 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Production/distribution experience required; industrial gas industry or equivalent experience preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of cylinder gases and processes
  • Knowledge of regulatory agencies, including FDA, DOT, OSHA, and EPA
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft applications, Lotus Notes, and CU
  • Strong organization skills
