Job Overview

Zupka & Associates, a reputable public accounting firm, is seeking a skilled Staff Auditor to join our team. As a Staff Auditor, you will be responsible for leading audits, collaborating with Partners and Managers, and contributing to the growth of our client base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct a variety of accounting and auditing assignments for cities, schools, and non-profit organizations under the supervision of senior staff members.
  • Perform audit procedures, including a test of internal controls over receipting, disbursements, and payroll, and preparation of audit working papers.
  • Assist with proofing financial statements and other documents.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • At least 2 years of experience in public accounting or governmental audits.
  • Strong knowledge of governmental accounting and auditing standards.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time, and meet deadlines with accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Willing to travel frequently, including some overnight stays.
