Job Title: Office Manager

Aston Carter is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager to join their team in Columbia, MD.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the ownership team, managing office operations, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of the office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide backup support for answering and directing incoming calls
  • Manage vendor and office interfaces, scheduling, and coordination
  • Plan and coordinate special events, such as vendor lunches and holiday parties
  • Assist with payroll and invoicing, including back-up support for the firm accountant
  • Manage recurring business office bills and maintain employee records and files
  • Onboard new employees and administer employee expense sheets and time sheets
  • Provide notary services and foster a positive firm culture
  • Offer special clerical support to the ownership team
Requirements:
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal communication
  • Knowledge of the industry and local community
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
