Office Administrator

Aston Carter is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager to join their team in Columbia, MD.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the ownership team, managing office operations, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of the office.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide backup support for answering and directing incoming calls
- Manage vendor and office interfaces, scheduling, and coordination
- Plan and coordinate special events, such as vendor lunches and holiday parties
- Assist with payroll and invoicing, including back-up support for the firm accountant
- Manage recurring business office bills and maintain employee records and files
- Onboard new employees and administer employee expense sheets and time sheets
- Provide notary services and foster a positive firm culture
- Offer special clerical support to the ownership team
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of the industry and local community
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
