Position Overview

Join Burlington Stores, Inc. as a Property Asset Management Specialist. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with the Vice President of Asset Management, overseeing a comprehensive renewal pipeline for approximately 100 retail locations each year, alongside office and warehouse properties, while managing the intricacies of store closures. Your focus will be on developing robust procedures and generating critical reports necessary for managing a pipeline that spans two years into the future. This includes evaluating real estate strategies, tracking the progress of strategy implementation, recalibrating approaches, and investigating alternative options prior to renewals or closures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide project management, analytical, and technical support to the asset management team for renewals, relocations, right-sizing transactions, remodels, and closures of stores, offices, and warehouses.
  • Manage portfolio effectively.
  • Handle leasing activities: extensions, terminations, and amendments.
  • Oversee dispositions: lease, sublease, sale, and condemnations.
  • Coordinate store closures: manage timelines and collaborate with various departments.
  • Review facilities/store planning projects to ensure capital projects align with long-term strategies and deliver a strong ROI.
  • Support store development initiatives, including downsizing, relocations, and remodels.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure timely project completion.
  • Manage supply chain and office transactions efficiently.
  • Maintain lease database and track significant dates.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in law, real estate, or a related discipline.
  • Over 10 years of experience in the retail and/or real estate sector, demonstrating strong management capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of legal concepts, real estate documentation, and effective presentation skills.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and time management abilities.
