Job Title: Front Desk Agent

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team at Fairfield Inn & Suites Rehoboth Beach. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process, and maintaining a clean and organized front desk area.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Check-In/Check-Out: Greet and register guests, assign rooms, and ensure a smooth check-in and check-out process.
  2. Room Assignments: Verify room availability and assign rooms to guests, ensuring that all rooms meet the hotel's quality standards.
  3. Guest Services: Provide information on hotel services, amenities, and local attractions, and respond to guest inquiries and concerns.
  4. Front Desk Operations: Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, including the reception desk, lobby, and surrounding areas.
  5. Communication: Communicate effectively with guests, colleagues, and management, using excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Problem-Solving: Resolve guest complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner, escalating issues to management as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous front desk or customer service experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and a high level of customer interaction. The Front Desk Agent must be able to lift up to 10 pounds, stand for long periods, and move around the front desk area as needed.

Language Skills:

The Front Desk Agent must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.

Math Skills:

The Front Desk Agent must have basic math skills, including the ability to handle cash and credit transactions, and perform basic calculations.

Relationships to Data, People and Things:

  • Data: Compiling and reporting information about guests and hotel operations.
  • People: Communicating with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Things: Operating and maintaining front desk equipment and systems.

Specific Vocational Preparation:

The Front Desk Agent must have proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and be able to format and create professional documents.

Pay Range: $16-$17 per hour.
