Norton Healthcare seeks a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our team in Infectious Diseases. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will provide evidence-based, collaborative patient-centered care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement system-wide strategies to optimize medication therapy and improve clinical outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide efficient, cost-effective patient care.
  • Provide verbal and written consultations on medication therapy and participate in the development of guidelines and order sets.
  • Participate in the educational experience of pharmacy residents and students, and provide education to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
  • Represent the pharmacy department on applicable committees and teams, and provide input and guidance on medication formulary management.
  • Support and facilitate the quality improvement process through ongoing development and monitoring of performance improvement indicators.
Qualifications
  • One of the following: three years of pharmacy experience, completion of a PGY-2 residency in Infectious Diseases, or completion of a concentrated fellowship in a specialized area of practice.
  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
  • Pharmacist licensure in Kentucky.
