Clinical Pharmacist Specialist, Internal Medicine/Stroke, 1st Shift

UofL Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our team in Internal Medicine and Stroke care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing specialized pharmaceutical services to improve drug usage and therapeutic outcomes for patients.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in multidisciplinary patient care rounds to ensure comprehensive care
- Evaluate and verify medication orders to ensure appropriateness and effectiveness
- Provide clinical services, including medication histories, pharmacokinetic dosing, and patient counseling
- Develop and implement new programs and services to improve patient outcomes
- Collaborate with pharmacy leadership to design and implement clinical pharmacy services
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy
- Post-Graduate Year 2 (PGY-2) Specialty Residency or equivalent experience in specialty area
- At least three years of practice experience in the area of specialty
- Leadership experience in planning and setting direction for a department, team, or program
- Current board certification by Board of Pharmacy Specialties within area of expertise
