Job Overview

Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facility. This position involves direct interaction with residents, contributing to their well-being and quality of life.

The CNA is expected to embody a spirit of empathy and support, aligning with the mission of Renaissance Realty Group Inc to deliver outstanding service to our clients. Responsibilities include:

  1. Upholding the values and image of Renaissance Realty Group Inc through professional conduct and ethical practices.
  2. Taking responsibility for each resident's experience by addressing their needs promptly and effectively.
  3. Identifying resident requirements to enhance their overall experience.
  4. Assisting residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as per their individual care plans.

Key Responsibilities

I. SERVICE DELIVERY

  1. Welcome all individuals with a friendly demeanor; accurately assess resident needs and follow through on requests to ensure satisfaction.
  2. Support residents' independence by providing personal care services such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with their care plans.
  3. Offer medication reminders and maintain accurate documentation as per assigned schedules.
  4. Assist with meal service and promote healthy eating habits among residents.
  5. Perform housekeeping and laundry duties in resident living spaces as required.
  6. Provide coverage at the reception area when necessary.
  7. Conduct regular checks on residents during meal times and assist with dining services.

II. RECORD MAINTENANCE

  1. Document resident care details, incidents, and other significant information accurately and promptly.
  2. Collect vital statistics, including weight and blood pressure, and ensure proper communication with the healthcare team.

III. ILLNESS MONITORING

  1. Report any changes in resident conditions to the appropriate supervisor in a timely manner.
  2. Recognize and report signs of illness to ensure timely intervention.

IV. ACTIVITY COORDINATION

  1. Plan and facilitate daily enrichment activities tailored to resident needs.
  2. Engage residents in group activities to promote social interaction and well-being.

V. SAFETY AND INFECTION CONTROL

  1. Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

  1. Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant program and registration on the CNA registry.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  3. Proficient in documenting resident care accurately.
  4. Understanding of personal assistance devices and their proper use.
  5. Knowledge of medication management and safety practices.
  6. Empathy and compassion in dealing with residents.
  7. Ability to multitask and adapt to changing situations.

Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and assist residents with mobility. The CNA must also be able to perform basic office tasks, including using a computer and telephone.
