POSITION OVERVIEW: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a crucial role in delivering care and support to residents, ensuring their health, safety, and overall well-being.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist residents with meal service and feeding, ensuring access to fresh water and snacks throughout the day. Support personal hygiene needs, including the use of bedpans, urinals, bathing, and grooming; aid residents in navigating to the restroom and during showers. Aid in mobility by assisting residents with walking, repositioning, and turning. Monitor resident health by checking vital signs and weight, and accurately documenting intake and output. Enhance resident comfort by utilizing available resources, responding to requests, and communicating observations to nursing supervisors. Maintain accurate records by completing necessary forms, reports, and logs. Uphold patient confidentiality and dignity by adhering to HIPAA regulations and safeguarding personal information. Follow professional standards and comply with all relevant company policies, as well as federal, state, and local regulations. Pursue ongoing education and professional development to maintain licensure and stay informed on best practices.

·Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with state regulations. Minimum age requirement must be met. Experience in long-term care settings is preferred. Current CPR certification is mandatory. Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands of this position include:

· Regularly sitting, standing, bending, and walking; ability to lift and/or move significant weight.

· Sufficient visual and auditory capabilities for effective communication.

· A moderate noise level in the work environment.
