The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a vital member of our care team at Aperion Care International. As a CNA, you will provide exceptional resident care and support in all activities of daily living, ensuring the health, welfare, and safety of our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Personal Care and Hygiene: Assist residents with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Mealtime Support: Provide assistance with serving meals and feeding, ensuring residents receive nourishment and hydration.
- Mobility and Transfer Assistance: Help residents with ambulation, turning, and positioning to prevent falls and promote comfort.
- Health Monitoring: Check vital signs and weight, recording intake and output information to ensure resident stability.
- Comfort and Dignity: Utilize resources and materials to promote resident comfort, answer call lights, and report observations to the nursing supervisor.
- Documentation and Confidentiality: Document actions and maintain confidentiality of resident information, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and related laws.
- Professional Development: Participate in educational opportunities, read professional publications, and maintain licensure to stay current in the field.
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with state laws.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Long term care experience preferred.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
The physical demands of this role include sitting, standing, bending, and walking regularly, lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds. Visual and auditory ability sufficient for written and verbal communication is required.
