Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Saf House Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Domestic Violence and Crime Services team, you will provide direct services to victims of domestic and/or sexual violence, including crisis intervention, supportive counseling, and advocacy. You will work collaboratively with a wide range of service providers and community agencies to engage consumers and connect them to needed services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide crisis intervention and supportive counseling to individuals and families experiencing victimization
  • Work with a variety of service providers and community agencies to engage consumers and connect them to needed services
  • Act as case manager for assigned complex residential cases
  • Cover for Sr. Program Manager as needed
  • Ensure adequate coverage for program staffing at the SAF Shelter
  • Provide direct supervision to SAF Shelter Substitute Staff
  • Work collaboratively with the management team to support Advocacy staff with functions of the program
  • Assist with and conduct training for program staff and community partners
  • Maintain extensive records for individual client-related services
  • Complete assigned funder program reports and/or billing documentation
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services area preferred
  • 1-3 years' experience in Human Services/Victim Assistance programming
  • Must complete and maintain all regulatory training/education for NYS DOH Rape Crisis Certification and Domestic Violence Advocate privilege
  • Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated, resourceful, organized, and adaptable
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills and have excellent documentation and reporting skills
