Integrity Investigation Analyst

This role is situated within the Office of Investigations, specifically in the Complaints Management and Investigations Division.
As an Integrity Investigation Analyst, you will act as the main investigative liaison for agency staff engaged in serious non-criminal inquiries regarding integrity or misconduct claims.
Eligibility

Current employees of the Office of Investigations with competitive status and CTAP eligibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitates the operations of the OI Intake Branch by receiving and analyzing employee misconduct claims from diverse sources.
- Drafts timely, precise, and succinct investigative reports, ensuring all investigative protocols and outcomes align with relevant Federal, DHS, and USCIS policies for use in civil or administrative actions.
- Employs a case management system to accurately input, retrieve, monitor, and maintain documentation. Conducts quality assurance evaluations of received and resolved complaints.
- Contributes to the OI Social Media Investigative Program by engaging in misconduct investigations and formulating social media policies and procedures.
- Assists the Evidence Program Manager in the receipt, processing, storage, and safeguarding of evidence or personal property.
- Utilizes advanced qualitative and quantitative methodologies to scrutinize various law enforcement databases and electronic tools to perform e-searches on subjects under investigation.
Mandatory Conditions:
- Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Nationals.
- Must successfully complete a Background Investigation, including financial disclosure.
- Must pass a drug screening.
- Submission of a resume and supporting documentation is required.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with the Selective Service.
- Political appointees may require OPM approval prior to onboarding.
- USCIS implements the Telework Enhancement Act of 2010 for its telework and remote work initiatives.
This position IS NOT deemed "essential" for reporting to work during facility closures.
Residency Requirement: Candidates not currently employed by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services must have resided in the United States for three of the last five years before applying for this position, or have worked for the U.S. Government overseas, or been a dependent of a U.S. Federal or Military employee stationed overseas.
Probationary Period: A probationary period of one year may be required.
Qualifications
Qualifications must be met by the application deadline.
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service.
GS-13: To qualify at the GS-13 level, candidates must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government, which includes:
- Maintaining collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Tracking the progress, closure, and resolution of case files.
- Receiving and triaging complaints from various sources.
- Identifying, gathering, and analyzing pertinent evidence, and documenting findings.
- Supporting or conducting inquiries into allegations of misconduct affecting organizational programs and operations.
- Generating comprehensive evaluation reports and summary assessments of employee misconduct for senior management.

Background Investigation: All selected candidates must undergo a background investigation to ensure reliability and trustworthiness.
