Job Overview

Village Management Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining annual and long-range organization budgets for the GR Foundation and all housing mutual corporations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, and general ledger record keeping. They will be able to compile and analyze financial reports, research problems, and prepare written recommendations.

The Financial Analyst will work closely with operational departments to develop and implement systems and procedures for tracking and analyzing budgeted and actual expenditures. They will also assist in conducting financial studies and special analyses as assigned.

The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work effectively with co-workers, customers, and others to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain annual and long-range organization budgets for the GR Foundation and all housing mutual corporations
  • Prepare and submit budget instructions to all divisions
  • Assist in presenting budget proposals to committees and boards
  • Monitor and report monthly on the financial statements and ad hoc cost management reports
  • Assist with investigating transactions and reconciling accounts

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in finance or accounting
  • Experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, and general ledger record keeping
  • Knowledge of principles, procedures, and techniques of accounting and of financial records and transactions
  • Ability to compile and analyze financial reports, research problems, and prepare written recommendations

Working Conditions

The Financial Analyst will work in a climate-controlled indoor office environment. They will be required to sit for long periods of time and use repetitive motion to operate a keyboard. The position requires regular attendance and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
