Job Summary

University of Florida Health - Jacksonville is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Advocate to join our team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, ensuring accurate and efficient registration processes, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Check patients in and out, ensuring accurate and efficient registration processes.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, collect copayments and coinsurance, and document registration information.
  • Assist staff and patients with clerical duties, including copying, scanning, and faxing documents.
  • Answer and screen phone calls, direct messages, and maintain a clean work environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a healthcare setting or 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Basic understanding of insurance and medical terminology preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
