Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Center Representative to join our team at UF Health. As a key member of our Patient Access Center, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, staff, and healthcare providers while handling high-volume incoming phone calls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and healthcare providers while handling phone calls.
  • Maintain up-to-date reference materials and stay informed about administrative protocols and systems.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in systems and administrative protocols of primary care, specialty, and ancillary service lines.
  • Assist with disseminating and ensuring understanding of updated information regarding triage protocols and patient access center.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to new and existing team members.
  • Perform all Patient Access Center CSR duties.
Requirements
  • Critical thinking, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and quality of work.
  • Basic computer literacy and arithmetic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member.
  • Experience with data entry and operating a multi-line automatic call distribution compatible telephone.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Clerical/customer service experience in a healthcare-related industry.
  • Experience with third-party payors and computer systems for inputting data and reviewing patient demographic material.
Education Requirements

A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
