We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Supervisor to join our team in the Controller's Office. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of accounting professionals and performing various accounting activities and reporting.

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $76,426 - $126,103 annually.

We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a guaranteed life-long monthly pension, 457B Retirement Plan, 140 hours of PTO earned within the first year, and competitive medical, dental, and vision plans.

What You'll Do

As the Accounting Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Supervising a team of accounting professionals engaged in daily accounting functions and activities.
  • Overseeing excise and property tax accounting, financial reporting, and distributions.
  • Reviewing and approving financial transactions to comply with intergovernmental agreements, state, and local law.
  • Serving as the Department of Finance's communication liaison for matters related to tax revenue reporting and analysis.
What You'll Bring

Required Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Three (3) years of full performance level professional accounting experience.
