Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Infra Finance

We are seeking a highly analytical Senior Financial Analyst to join our AWS Infrastructure team at Amazon. In this role, you will be surrounded by talented individuals who share your passion for analytics and accountability.

The successful candidate will have a strong passion for producing financial analysis enabling management to make breakthrough decisions, drive cash flow, and ultimately delight our customers.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as the key business partner working directly with regional AWS management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations.
  • Preparing detailed financial models for business segments, driving business initiatives, and identifying, implementing, and delivering key operational efficiencies.
  • Managing the financial planning process, modeling, analyzing, and forecasting metrics that drive budgeting, forecasting, and business decisions.
  • Performing ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed.
  • Analyzing business results for key takeaways to achieve business objectives.
  • Developing new processes to support the fast-growing, global AWS business.

Basic qualifications include:

  • 3+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field.
  • Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
  • 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience.
  • 3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience.
  • 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience.
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools and other financial systems.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • MBA or CPA.
  • Knowledge of Tableau.
  • 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.

The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
