Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Intelligent Operations

Ambitious finance professionals, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our AWS Intelligent Operations Finance team as a Senior Financial Analyst. In this role, you will partner with customer-focused business teams to drive thoughtful analysis and controllership on AWS products.
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for influencing business partner decisions through education and collaboration on marginal costs, pricing, customer adoption, and more. You will also collaborate with business partners to build and maintain detailed cost models by product/service, drive financial planning and budgeting activities, and prepare and provide financial reporting, including communicating future financial risks and opportunities to the business.
This role requires a self-starter with a strong financial modeling background, problem-solving skills, a keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations, and solid skills in project management. You will have regular interaction with various business units across Amazon and require strong people skills.

Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process reengineering, quality assurance) experience
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Six Sigma Black Belt
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- Experience as a lean sensei, or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer

The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market.
