Job Overview

Songwriters Texas LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Payroll Specialist and Human Resources Assistant to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in payroll processing, compliance, and reporting, as well as support for human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including wages, deductions, benefits, and tax information.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Handle employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and file payroll tax reports, W-2s, and other required documentation.
  • Manage direct deposits, wage garnishments, and other payroll-related adjustments.
  • Reconcile payroll reports and ensure data integrity.

Human Resources Assistant Duties

  • Support HR in recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, and coordinating interviews.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding, including orientation, paperwork, and benefits enrollment.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding benefits, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with tracking employee performance evaluations.
  • Participate in HR projects, including policy updates, training programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in payroll processing and/or human resources support.
  • Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now.

Compensation and Benefits
