We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nursing Assistant/Senior Direct Support Professional to join our team at Westchester Jewish Community Services. As a valued member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with maintaining the medical and clinical status of individuals served, including administering medication and maintaining medical records.
- Provide assistance and services that promote independence and active participation in daily living within the residence.
- Support in the overall operation of the community-based residence, including attending medical appointments and performing other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED
- Must possess an AMAP Certificate
- 6-12 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities as a DSP
- Valid driver's license for over two years is a must
- Participate in, pass and maintain certification of WJCS required training that includes but may not be limited to Medication Administration, SCIP, CPR/First Aid, Driving the Van and Mandatory Training as identified by OPWDD
