The Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our regional warehouse team in Tinley Park, IL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the administration of day-to-day functional operations of the regional warehouse under the direction of the Regional Manager.

  • Process customer orders via phone, mail, and through sales personnel
  • Execute requests for quotation from customers and prospects, according to the Regional Manager's guidelines
  • Handle effectively the expediting of customer and inventory orders
  • Provide total customer satisfaction by promptly and efficiently reacting to customer requirements, while working within established company guidelines
  • Distribution responsibilities include negotiating freight rates and tariffs, routing traffic, tracing shipments, obtaining proof of delivery, and the filing of freight claims
  • Analyze, administer, and order inventory for the regional location
  • Administration of the regional rental fleet
  • Processing customer returns and requests for credit and assistance in the resolving of credit problems
  • Maintain prompt communication with customers and company personnel
  • Contact of outside vendors for services, price, delivery, and the request of issuance of purchase orders for the same
  • Ordering of general and shipping supplies and administer and analyze daily cycle counting
  • Assist in the training of regional operations personnel
The Person

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years front office experience
  • Microsoft Word, Excel experience
