Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Capital Markets Relationship Manager to join our team at M&T Bank. As a key member of our Global Capital Markets team, you will be responsible for managing client relationships and daily administration of assigned accounts, including all administrative, operational, and risk management activities for GCM transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage client relationships to ensure timely and effective execution of GCM transactions.
  • Review and analyze account activity to identify potential risks and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement strategies to achieve sustainable earnings growth and compliance with Bank and Division strategic plans.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of innovative products and services to meet client needs.
  • Supervise and mentor less experienced Relationship Managers and Client Administrators to ensure timely execution of cash flows, fee billing, internal and external reporting, and tickler processing.
  • Work with management to identify opportunities to enhance GCM's control environment, existing and new products, internal coordination and collaboration, and client service model, and implement enhancements to improve business results, client service, and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years' client service experience in Global Capital Markets products or markets.
  • OR in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years' client service experience in Global Capital Markets products or markets.
  • High level of proficiency with personal computers and pertinent software.
  • High proficiency and experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting legal documents.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
  • Familiarity with corporate structures, relevant laws, and regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strategic thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years' supervisory and/or work leadership experience.
  • CCTS (Certified Corporate Trust Specialist) certification.
  • Working knowledge of pertinent specialized internal software applications.
  • Demonstrated sense of ownership in jobs or projects.
Compensation

The pay range for this position is $102, $171,565.10 Annual (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
