Job Summary

**Synerfac** is seeking an experienced Environmental Health Specialist to support its activities in performing Asbestos, Lead, and Mold Surveys, Indoor Air Quality Investigations, and Soil/Groundwater studies in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct surveys of commercial, residential, and industrial buildings for hazardous materials, including asbestos, lead paint, and PCBs.
  • Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various environmental conditions.
  • Monitor asbestos abatement activities in accordance with EPA, OSHA, and AHERA regulations.
  • Collect and analyze samples for asbestos, lead, and mold content.
  • Assist in preparing abatement design and specifications, and support sampling efforts for soil and groundwater.
  • Contribute to report writing, data analysis, and preparation of detailed logs and data summary tables.
  • Travel frequently throughout Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
  • Maryland Asbestos Building Inspector certificate or equivalent experience.
  • MD Lead Risk Assessor/Inspector license or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Asbestos, Lead, and Mold Surveys, Indoor Air Quality Investigations, and Soil/Groundwater studies.
  • Knowledge of EPA and ASTM guidance documents covering investigation, remediation, and operations and maintenance.
  • Knowledge and experience with DE, PA, and MD environmental regulations.
  • AutoCAD skills a plus.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
