Job Overview:

As a Community Association Manager at FirstService Residential, you will be responsible for providing exceptional property management services that reflect the policies and procedures established by the Association Board of Directors. Your primary goal will be to efficiently manage daily operations and ensure the smooth functioning of the community.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Board to prepare the Association's annual budget and ensure its effective implementation.
  • Oversee the daily financial management and recordkeeping, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Provide guidance and support to the Association on collection matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and report monthly financials, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and manage specifications for all services received by the Association, including landscaping, snow removal, trash disposal, insurance, pool maintenance, and other essential services.
  • Manage the bid process, review proposals, and comparison spreadsheets, making recommendations to the Board as needed.
  • Negotiate contracts for routine services with the Board's approval and counsel as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date files, records, and correspondence in accordance with company procedures and best practices.
  • Prepare Board meeting agendas, monthly management reports, and other materials for the Board Packet, ensuring timely distribution.
  • Coordinate activities with association professionals, including attorneys, auditing firms, and engineering firms.
  • Establish and maintain an annual calendar outlining association activities, deadlines, elections, meetings, projects, and other essential events.
  • Enforce the use of policies, tools, and programs in day-to-day management and operations, ensuring adherence to company standards.
  • Support the implementation of company and business unit initiatives and strategies, driving business growth and excellence.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in property management with a CMCA designation.
  • Minimum 2 years of project management experience, with a working knowledge of budgets and fiduciary responsibility.
  • Demonstrated decision-making ability, written and verbal communication skills, and critical thinking.
  • Working knowledge of legislation impacting property management, preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the proposal/bid process and proficiency in computer programs like Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Windows.
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.

As a full-time exempt associate, you will be eligible for comprehensive benefits, including medical plans, dental, vision, and others. You will also be eligible for time off benefits, paid holidays, and a 401(k) with company match. Occasional travel may be required for training and company functions.

Compensation:

$70,000 annually.
